Spark Mobile: On-Demand Car Wash for Vehicle Maintenance & Convenience

Abstract

Spark Mobile is an on-demand car wash platform designed to enhance vehicle maintenance, customer convenience, and digital engagement in automotive services. A one-month pilot deployment conducted from December 16, 2024, to January 16, 2025, assessed the system's performance in meeting key objectives: improving service efficiency, promoting business participation, and enhancing customer satisfaction. Pilot results demonstrated a 37% reduction in average customer waiting times—from 39 minutes to 25 minutes—achieving alignment with industry-recommended service durations. The platform also increased business visibility by expanding service offerings from one to six through automated update prompts, and achieved an average customer rating of 4.6 out of 5 stars, indicating strong satisfaction with service quality and real-time notifications. In its next development phase, Spark Mobile will incorporate AI-powered scheduling and GPS-based technician tracking to optimize route planning, resource allocation, and real-time updates. These findings underscore Spark Mobile’s potential to modernize traditional car wash services through digital transformation, driving operational efficiency and sustainable growth for both customers and service providers.
